GENERAL INFORMATION

• The Naruto world is currently in turmoil. War between Iwagakure and Konohagakure across Kusagakure has begun, and it appears as though Sunagakure will join the fray soon. The Shinobi of every Village must train to prepare for the upcoming war. Something simple as a border skirmish to as serious as attempting to steal another Village's Bijuu or Jinchuuriki for the demon within them could set off more wars between countries at any moment.
  
  
• The Hidden Villages were established a mere 62 years ago, and have been at what seems like constant war ever since.
  
  
• Originally an attempt to keep peace between villages, Bijuu were distributed by the Shodai Hokage. His attempt to keep this peace, however, appears to have been in vain - given the constant fighting.

RANKS

• Academy Student - The academy is where would-be ninja start; they are not actually considered ninja until they graduate. Academy students take formal and practical tests of all sorts and are taught basic ninja skills, such as martial arts, techniques, physical fitness and the way of the ninja. Basic weapon usage, such as kunai and shuriken, are commonly taught. Elementary ninja techniques, such as transformation jutsu and clone jutsu, though they vary from village to village, are also taught. Once a student has become proficient in these areas they are allowed to graduate. Upon graduation, students are organized into three-man teams under the leadership of a Jonin. In some villages, the Jonin administers a final test to determine whether or not the team will be able to advance to the rank of Genin. Those who fail must return to the academy.
  
  
• Genin - Genin are given headbands with their village's symbol on it to represent what village they come from and that they are full fledged ninja. Genin are also put in a platoon of three-man-cell, and are then assigned a Jonin sensei to mentor them. This is done to teach the Genin teamwork and experience true ninja life under the supervision and protection of an elite shinobi. The make-up of these teams is based on the individual skills of the Genin, so that there will remain a balance between the teams. When they become Genin, ninja start to do their bit for their village's economy, for which they are given a small payment. They are typically sent either on D-rank missions, which are the lowest rank and are almost entirely risk-free jobs of manual labor, or experienced Genin are sent on C-rank missions, which are a cut above that and begin to verge on real "ninja" work, though they generally have a very low possibility of risk to the ninja involved. In some circumstances, a genin may have the skills of jonin or above, but is not officially considered a chunin or jonin because they have not passed the chunin exams.
  
  
• Chuunin - Chunin have reached a level of maturity that primarily consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess. Some of them serve as team leaders in charge of small teams who need to make decisions and use the skills of the shinobi under their command to the maximum effect. Upon reaching Chunin level, ninja can wear an identifying tactical vest that holds ninjutsu scrolls. This vest is not required; instead, some look for more elaborate clothing like capes or robes. Chunin are typically sent on C or B-rank missions. To become a Chunin, a Genin can either be appointed by his\her village leader or participates, with his or her team, in a large examination, known as the "Chunin Exams," hosted twice a year due to the growing number of ninjas. Each village hosts their own Chuunin Exams - with no other villages allowed to participate
  
  
• Tokubetsu Jounin & Jounin - Tokubetsu Jounin are ninja who, rather than all-around Jounin training, have Jounin-level ability in a single area or skill, much like warrant officers of real-world militaries (for example, interrogation). They are elite specialists in their areas and are often assigned as subordinates to regular Jounin when their services are needed. They sometimes are seen as lower ranked than Jounin because they are good or the best in one field and they lack talent, or even ability in others.
  
  Jounin are generally highly experienced ninja with great individual skill who serve as military captains. They are often sent on A-rank missions, and experienced Jounin, may even be sent on S-rank missions (which are considered to be the most difficult), and may carry out missions alone. They are sometimes assigned as sensei for three-person teams of Genin. Most Jonin are able to use two or more types of elemental chakra. Jounin are appointed by their village leader when they have proved that they are ready for the responsibilities of Jonin.
  
  
• ANBU - ANBU is an organization of assassination squads that serves directly under the village's leader. It is still unclear as to what requirements a shinobi must possess to be an ANBU operative. The ANBU wear porcelain animal masks in order to distinguish themselves from normal shinobi and to conceal their identities, and also have standard uniforms consisting of black and gray armor, arm guards, a signature spiral tattoo on their shoulder (Men: left shoulder. Women: right shoulder) and a Ninjatō strapped on their back. They know the layout of the human body in detail, and have developed several techniques to perform their duties, such as paralyzing the target. ANBU are considered the elite, and they perform high-ranked and dangerous missions.
  
  
• Kage - Kages are the leaders of the five most powerful Hidden Villages and generally the most powerful ninja in their respective villages. These villages do not rule the country, but are equal to the government. The Kage stand equally with the rulers of their countries, oversee the activities of their villages, and are the leaders of ninja society. There may be exceptions, however, as a ninja may be the most powerful at the time of being installed as Kage, but may become less powerful upon aging, eventually being surpassed by a younger ninja. A Kage may retire and give the title to someone else; however, once granted, the title is held permanently, creating a situation where a village has two Kage at the same time, with only one of them actually active. Their elite status is also attributed to the tendency for most Kage to have family members who were previous Kage, or be personally taught by a former Kage or student of a former Kage, or some combination of these factors. The five Kage have different titles depending on their country. Their names are as follows Hokage (of Konoha), Mizukage (of Kiri), Raikage (of Kumo), Kazekage (of Suna), and Tsuchikage (of Iwa).
  
  
• Nuke-nin - Rogue ninja. These are ninja who have abandoned their Hidden Village, and as such can include ninja of every rank. These ninja are considered traitors and are hunted down because of the secrets they may hold. Other Hidden Villages would be interested in purchasing this information because it could be useful in gaining an upper hand in battle or obtaining a bloodline limit unique to a village.

BIJUU & JINCHUURIKI

Ichibi no Tanuki

Jinchuuriki Name: --

Species: Raccoon-Dog

Village: Sunagakure no Sato

Origin: Ichibi is a bijuu that takes on the form of a Tanuki, but was once a priest that lived within the deserts of Kaze no Kuni. He was overwhelmed by Hachibi, which made him transform into a Tanuki to hide his identity. He was always playful and had an extravagant personality, and he even has a sex life, but was still corrupted. He lived off the souls killed by the wind and buried by the sand. Even in this age he is a very impish creature.

Chakra Nature: Fuuton; Sunaton (Wind; Sand)

Unique Traits: Ichibi is able to utilize both wind and sand elements, which means it can do various of things such as amplify wind pressure, cause demoralizing sandstorms, and much more combination attacks. It also had the ability to shape shift from a Tanuki to a human at anytime. This creature is known to cause insomnia, which is the lack of sleep. The Jinchuuriki able to sleep, because if he/she goes to sleep the demon will be released to go on a rampage.

Nibi no Nekomata

Jinchuuriki: --

Species: Cat

Village: Kumogakure no Sato

Origin: Nibi is a bijuu that possess the power of death itself. Nibi has been known to live in a location deep within Kaminari no Kuni known as the Forest of the Spirits. He was a giant black cat, sometimes depicted to have black wings. He has also been the pet of Shinigami for almost all eternity; feeding off of the spirits of the deceased and calling upon them during combat. He has a secretly covered third eye at the top of his head that he uses to consume spirits. He has eaten many of his host and usually eats whoever he hates in particular. He his very appeased by attention, food, and respect. If any of these are broken around Nibi he will animate the person who did it, dead relatives to torment them until they apologize, he eats, or gains someones else attention. He teamed with Gobi in the past to fight Kyuubi, but in the end they both lost.

Chakra Nature: Kageton; Katon (Shadow; Fire)

Unique Traits: Nibi is able to utilize both shadow and fire elements, in which he can use for various things such as large wisp of flaming fireballs, and multiple shadow techniques such as reviving and others. He is able to vanish much like a ghost and revive anything dead in a spiritual form that he steps over; he can even use them as mind puppets; he can animate dead. If Nibi is used to much fully, he will eventually eat his Jinchuuriki and take on there appearance.

Sanbi no Kyodaigame

Jinchuuriki: Yagura

Species: Turtle

Village: Kirigakure no Sato

Origin: Sanbi is known for living in the western district of Mizu no Kuni, usually killing off people who exasperate him or his environment. Most of the time he slept at the bottom of the sea, but every once in a while he would rise above surface and with that rising he caused outsized tsunami's, churns up storms, and sinks ships as food. Other than that he doesn't speak much.

Chakra Nature: Suiton (Water)

Unique Traits: Sanbi is able to utilize the water element, in various forms such as high pressured water bullets, causing deadly tsunamis and hurricanes, and much more. He also has unimaginable speed, being renowned as one of the fastest bijuu giving his host lots of agility as well.

Yonbi no Saru

Jinchuuriki: Roushi

Species: Gorilla

Village: Iwagakure no Sato

Origin: Yonbi has lived near a highly active volcano located with Yama no Kuni. He was mostly mutated because of the acid and volcanic ash that lingered in the air repeatedly. It is also a very poisonous, and for eternities people have died getting only within feet of it. He was also known for hibernating during winter, and in that time if he was to sneeze it would cause the volcano to erupt and fall upon the ground below.

Chakra Nature: Youton (Lava: Fire x Earth)

Unique Traits: Yonbi is able to utilize a more unique element known as poison, in which he has been able to do several of things. He has the ability to release poison from his pores in his body, which causing many things to either become fatal or causing any human hit, poisoned. He is also known to use a wide-array of chakra nature combinations, when inside of a host.

Gobi no Irukauma

Species: Dolphin-Horse

Last Seen: Iwagakure no Sato

Origin: Gobi has for years been much like a demonic terrorist, destroying all nature in its path to obtain what it wants; the elements is its most prized possession seeing as he controls all 5 of the basic elements. He caused plenty of catastrophes destroying homes and village; his hardest battles were combating his kind. He even challenged Kyuubi once with the help of Nibi, though he lost that battle. He fled to a unknown island and lived his life in a giant ancient tree, until he was captured.

Chakra Nature: Katon; Suiton; Fuuton; Doton; Raiton (Fire; Water; Wind; Earth; Lightning)

Unique Traits: Gobi is able to utilize all 5 of the basic elements and he also excels in the art of illusions. He is known for being able to cast lethal and dominant illusions to keep people from finding him. He is also able to cause all the different types of natural disasters from tornados to earthquakes, and more. He is very skilled in each elemental ability and uses a mixture of attacks.

Rokubi no Namekuj

Species: Slug

Last Seen: Kirigakure no Sato

Origin: Rokubi was once considered the almighty god of lighting. Its cries able to churn up storms in the sky. It was feared, because of its ability to release discharges. Over the years it beat Shukaku and Yonbi, claiming to be the strongest, but in the end he battled against Gobi and Kyuubi and lost. He didn't receive any concluding blows until he fought Hachibi, which transformed him into a beast.

Chakra Nature: Raiton; Suiton (Lightning; Water)

Unique Traits: Rokubi is able to utilize both lightning and water elements, for various combinations that cause devastating and shocking damage. He is able to churn up lightning in the sky, cause thunder storms. He can also discharge anything around him by emitting a electrical negative energy.

Shicibi no Kabutomushi

Species: Horned Beetle

Last Seen: Takigakure no Sato

Origin: Shichibi for years has been the most intelligent bijuu. He is very cunning and stealthy, because of his lack of size, being the smallest bijuu (though still quite huge). He has fought plenty of battles, but managed to escape them all; even the most deadly, he has slipped away from.

Chakra Nature: Fuuton (Wind); Doton (Earth)

Unique Traits: Shichibi is able to utilize the wind and earth elements, using several of earth and clay based techniques, such as camouflage and earthquake based attacks. His attacks are also able to cover a large range and could be particularly dangerous. He is also able to use clay to change his appearance to any animal or being he pleases.

Hachibi no Kyogyu

Jinchuuriki: Killer Bee

Species: Ox-Cephalopod

Village: Kumogakure no Sato

Origin: Hachibi is a most feared beast at the level of Kyuubi. He is known to have lived under the sea close to Kaminari no Kuni. He was the first to wake up, but as soon as he did that he went into combat. He them releases massive amounts of energy awakening\g there others and taking them all head on and defeating them. He lost to Kyuubi and never obtained the title as King of Bijuu He fled into hiding, but was eventually sealed.

Chakra Nature: Kageton; Suiton; Doton (Shadow; Water; Earth)

Unique Traits: Hachibi is able to utilize shadow, water, and earth elements. He is able to use unimaginable powers with those three elements, and he is even able to summon upon evil entities to torment or even combat others. He has tentacles that are able to drag an opponent deep within shallow waters, and hold on a firm grip.

Kyuubi no Youko

Jinchuuriki: Kushina Uzumaki

Species: Fox

Village: Konohagakure no Sato [Hidden Leaf Village]

Origin: Kyuubi is the most powerful and has had a undefeatable winning streak. He has taken on a majority of the strongest demons, and that ¡s because he has an unlimited amount of chakra. He is also cunning, smart, and has a sinister personality. He was never beat and yet he searched for years to come for the person that sealed him once and the one that awakened him, though Hachibi was the one. He was eventually sealed again.

Chakra Nature: Katon (Fire)

Unique Traits: Kyuubi is able to utilize the fire element and has nearly unlimited chakra, giving it the ability to use endless meteorite like fireballs. He can create cyclones with his tail, and flatten mountains easily. He is the most intelligent being able to speak fluently and has a sadistic personality. He can also be fair and have a sarcastic honor, which means helping his host out. He respects those who hold and seal him, maybe only because he wishes to kill them.
